Beth McEachern Young

Beth McEachern YoungBeth McEachern Young is a Washington, DC area native. She grew up working in her mother's catering business, and continued to work in food service and hospitality while studying marine biology and zoology at Auburn University and the University of Maryland. She continued her educational pursuits studying Hospitality Management at the Marriott Hospitality Center at Montgomery College in Rockville, MD, and went on to get a Certificate of Meeting and Conference Planning. She spent 10 years working in Country Club Management, working in catering sales and as Purchasing Director. She has spent the last 10 years working for Williams-Sonoma, Inc. as a Culinary specialist, teaching a multitude of classes and performing technique demonstrations to students of all ages and skill levels. During this time, her mother retired from catering and she took the reins of the family business. She now runs her own business as a personal chef and custom cake designer, and has expanded her services to include teaching private cooking classes and providing culinary consulting to clients.

When she is not working, she spends time with her two children and husband of fifteen years.
